Between striptease and sensual coaching school – Interview
The directrice proudly directs Artstrip World in Paris since 2002. A school stripping and pole dance whose avowed aim is to raise the profile of these dances long relegated to the rowdy clubs. The success is there, and she sees more than a fad. This is the way to reconcile the woman to her body by discovering how to be erotic without being vulgar. Interview with the director of a school unlike any other.
Would you say that you currently see a revival of striptease, which would amount to fashion? If so, where does it come, according to you?
School strip tease: That is indeed the case, still evolving attitudes regarding this type of activity. So there is a renewed interest in this discipline, proof that the company’s taboos are no longer what they were. Today, women are seeking to “re” showcase and “sensual” activities attract more and more. “Re” learn to be feminine, to “re” tame is “re” discover or just review some essential basics, it has become a must.
Moreover, the revival of striptease, or better yet, to stripping, in which we played a clear role tends to sublimate the woman in dance numbers “cabaret”, imbued with elegance and sensuality. This allows women of today to be similar to other beautiful Audrey Hepburn and Greta Garbo, relegating to oblivion the skinny supermodel figure and displaying uninhibited beautiful curves which they are increasingly proud.
This sensual coaching work stems from the desire of the latter to finally listen to the dictates of their bodies; to accept and to trust in a society where everything is very often masculinized (for the career, for consideration …) and where they quickly lose sight of their first gasoline.
Do you think that the media has created a fad or that return stripping is also dictated to a change in the couple’s sex life?
I think the media interested in it because there is a real public demand. This is a subject actually fashionable (we hope this will not be a fashion way), but that the media to meet the needs of readers who may themselves be changed.
The primary objective of our clients is not focused on the couple, but their personal development. A minority is concerned about a purpose to spice up their intimate lives, often in an approach that is more in the order of wink or Surprise of the type of solution “sexologist consultation.” Our target is not the couple, but the woman even if through it we touch the love cell indirectly.
There are still actually changes to the couple and sexual practices. Attitudes are changing, the woman’s position in the couple and especially his intimate life has changed a lot and it is not uncommon for the woman to take the lead in those moments when she speaks openly about his desires or expectations in this .dropoff window Flowering “love shop” in France is one of the first symbols with an offer directed towards the refinement and the senses, issues important to women in intimate relationships.
You give over “stripping” and not striptease: how these two dances are they different? By changing the name, is it not a way to “soften” the image of the strip?
The art of striptease as we have developed is more than a dance where we remove his clothes, it is a concept that is more of a coaching sensuality, and s relies among others on professional striptease techniques. Many other components come into play, including the modularity that can bring in the mood, attitude or set design according to the atmosphere we want to give, or situation. Our customers use what they have learned in our methods to their personal lives but also professional in their transformation, the affirmation of their femininity or renewed confidence that drives them to fully assume their sensuality in every moment of their lives and therefore not just naughty surprise for the companion.
If it is too simplistic to compare our “art of stripping” and a simple striptease during the terminology that we have developed since our launch actually aimed to create a break with the image of the French middle of striptease, especially at the time, often unhealthy and sulphurous atmosphere linked to the world of Pigalle. Our vision of this art is any other, we have implemented a speech and language that showed good positioning we wanted to give.
What are the motivations of women who come to take classes at ArtStrip World?
For courses stripping, Women are acquiring techniques and tips to be more sensual in everyday life, to an intimate surprise quality or (re) learn their femininity through awareness and acceptance of their sensuality. Overcome his complexes, regain confidence, to see again and glamorous woman, is an important step in our ongoing and this is what brings so much to our clients.
The pole dance is a phenomenon somewhat different, firstly because the activity can really be recurrent and allow flow of funds, on the other hand, because even though this discipline comes from the strip- club tease, it retains an image less “strip” more sport. Our clients therefore come to seek an activity, innovative, allowing them to play sports, dance and at the same time to be feminine, far enough so the atmosphere of the gym. It also saves time because they can fully concentrate on one activity that brings their physical work and pleasure and artistic dimension.
The pole dancing and stripping have long suffered from a little vulgar picture, reserved for the rowdy clubs. In your opinion, what has put them up to date?
The image is a little crumpled in France. But apart from changing attitudes, the fact of seeing sprout clubs in another place Pigalle, the international expansion of the universe, the quality of new projects that have emerged and cabarets rebirth as Crazy Horse Saloon are all factors that have strengthened our discourse and credibility to our vision of sensual arts. There are still barriers to break down and pole dance, because of its more public dimension should contribute quickly.
What benefits do they take women of these courses?
The benefits they find in our methods are multiple and are related to their subsequent behavior in their attitudes, the affirmation of their femininity at home, but at work, where many had set aside this aspect of their personality to evolve and avoid bad rumors. We note in each, whatever happens, a real awareness after class and newfound confidence and that’s what makes my job all its value because we bring so our building block in the valorisation of women in modern society
